I love coordinating holiday themed photo shoots with the girls and Valentine’s Day has to be one of my absolute favorites. They also have a ton of fun too. We purchased a couple of props, dressed the girls in pink and red and worked with Studio Freyja to capture some fun photos of the girls.
Shopping for outfits
There’s so many fun small shops on Instagram that sell themed holiday outfits for kids. This is where we get a ton of our stuff- a few of our favorites are The Wishing Elephant, Shop Friday Apparel, and June and Grey. Psss if you are looking for St. Patrick’s Day themed outfits, now is the time to start looking!
Props
I always check the 99 Cent Store and the Target dollar section for fun props for photo shoots. These stores always tend to do first and I like to shop early for some good finds. Another option is Party City- I get all my balloons here and then just blow them up at home with our mini helium tank. Save all your props in a holiday themed bin and you’ll slowly be able to grow your collection.
Have fun
Let your kids have fun and get silly in front of the camera. It’s the best way to capture their personalities and you are guaranteed to love the outcome.
