Gift guide for adventurous kids

Our van build is coming along you guys! I am so excited to see the progress come together and can not wait for all of the adventures we are going to have. Okay, I promise I will save all the van build details for a separate post but the van is what inspired me to put together this guide.

This year, I feel like we have all craved adventure and have found a way to find it in unique ways (like our van). We are still traveling safely, but we are road tripping instead of flying, and we are spending more and more time unplugged outdoors.

The girls love to get outside and I wanted to put together gifts that can help fulfill adventure and help them explore the outdoors. I hope that this not only inspires them to walk to spend more time outside, but also hope it inspires your kids to become adventurous too!

I put together a list of gifts that I think would be enjoyed from kids anywhere from 4 – 10. Natalia is only 3 but keeps up with her big sister and continues to amazes me how she steers away from the baby toys and wants more and more adventurous items.

The gift I am most excited for…

When we first started talking about purchasing and renovating a van we started dreaming about stargazing and using a telescope to look at the stars. After doing a ton of research, I seem to have found a telescope that’s affordable ($90) and had nearly 3,000 4 star reviews. I spent way too much time going through the reviews and it raved about the images, and you can even capture the images on your phone! We haven’t tried this out as it is this year’s Christmas gift but I will be sure to share an update.

Scooter

Both of the girls have these scooters. Nati has the micro and Ari upgraded to the maxi on her last birthday. They are hands down the best scooters-durable and high quality. Highly recommend these.

Walkie Talkies

I thought this would be a fun gift for the girls this year for the girls and found these really cute walkie talkies. According to the reviews, they work well and get a good range. This will be fun for the girls to take with them to the park, when we’re camping, etc.

Boogie boards

I found these lightweight boogie boards on Amazon. We go to the beach a lot over the summer and while the girls probably won’t be able to get the hang of body boarding just yet, these will be fun to practice on and get in the water with.

Bikes

I found these Retrospec balance bikes and I am obsessed. We don’t have these but I feel like they would make a great gift. We also have a Retrospec paddle board that we really like.

Stomp Rocket

Okay, who had this growing up? It was one of my favorites as a kid and would spend so much time playing with this toy.

Croquet set

I’ve shared how much I love wooden toys and this one is so fun! I got this for the girls for Christmas last year and they love it. Perfect indoor/outdoor gift and great to bring with you on trips too.

Bug catcher

I found this bug catcher on a major deal at Amazon. Again, I went with the reviews and it had a ton of great reviews and looks like it would entertain the kids for hours.

What are some of your favorite gifts for kids that crave adventure? I can’t wait to share how the girls enjoy some of these gifts and how we bring them with us on our outdoor adventures!
