Balancing a career and a family

I’ve always been a working mom. I had Ari when I was just 23 years old and I was moving up in a dream career in PR. BUT I can still remember the feelings I felt when I returned back to work when she was three months old. It felt like the shortest three month of my life and I was such a mess but I also had dreams of a successful career and I decided I can do both- be a mom and work at the same time

My mom always inspired me that this was possible. She owned her own business and still made time to be there for me for every school event, we took trips, etc. Work-life balance is absolutely possible and there should be no reason to put off raising a family or growing a career if you have dreams of pursuing both in life.

I have a flexible work schedule and use my time wisely. I work efficiently when I’m in the office and when I am home with the girls- it’s all play. We travel, enjoy time together and I never miss an important event. We also inserted a family business into the mix and we have been able to find that perfect balance between it all.

I never could have dreamed that one day I would be able to start a creative outlet for my family and I to share our life with, while building an income at the same time. I love how we are able to do this together as a family and have incorporated our work into our daily lives.

Any fears you may have about taking that leap into a new business, a career move, or education- put them behind you. It’s all possible if you want it hard enough. The most important part is having that life balance and finding happiness in what you do.
