Skincare products that I’m loving this spring

If there is one thing that I am not afraid to admit- it’s that I love to spend my “me” time enjoying my nightly skincare routine, trying out new beauty products, face masks and more. My mom taught me at a young age how important it is to take care of your skin and I took that advice to heart. I love trying out new products and I get so excited when I find a beauty product that really works.

My husband jokes with me that I can’t fit anymore skincare products in our bathroom, but I beg to differ. I also like to stock up this time of year during the Sephora sale to get the products I love on a discount.

I broke down some of my favorite products by category. These are all products I’ve used and can swear by. I also included my Sephora “wish list” which are items I have not tried just yet (but I’ve already done a ton of research on) at the end of this blog post!

Cleansers

Murad Vitamin-C cleanser- This has been my favorite face wash for a while now. It has a subtle citrus scent to it and feels like it really cleans my skin. It has a gel-like texture and has been my go-to for morning and night.

Tula Cult Classic- This is another favorite of mine. I use it off/on from time to time but does leave my skin feeling really clean. It’s really gently and my husband can use it on his sensitive skin too.

Philosophy Cleanser- I used Philosophy back when I was in college all the time. It’s a simple 1-step cleanser so really convenient for when you are in a rush. I always keep a small size on hand so I can pack it up with me when I travel.

Exfoliators & Serums

Paula’s Choice 2% BHA- I was recommended this product by a skincare professional and I love it. It’s a liquid exfoliant that you leave on your skin. It helps clear out your pores and brighten your skin. I use it every other day, alternating with the Honeymoon Glow.

Honeymoon Glow AHA – This might serum tingles when it goes on your skin but really does a nice job at keeping my skin bright. I have also noticed it’s helped even out the surface of my skin too. A really great product and I just alternate it every other night with the Paula’s Choice one above.

INKEY Retinol Serum- I use this serum every single night and it’s SUPER affordable. It’s $9.99 for the bottle and it goes a long way. I add this into my routine every night and helps tighten up the skin nicely.

Tula So Polished Exfoliant- I love this exfoliant, it’s a sugar scrub but feels very delicate on the skin. It feels just like rubbing sugar on your face but it dissolves as you wash it and leaves your skin super soft.

Tax Luxe Super Glow Self Tanner- A self tanner that is good for your skin? Yes please! I put the serum on about twice a week at the end of my skincare routine. Rub a few drops into your skin thoroughly and wash your hands. I love the color it leaves on my skin and doesn’t dry out my skin at all.

Face & Eye Creams

Eye creams

Looking for an affordable eye cream or one for on the go? The INKEY brand is a great budget-friendly brand and both of these creams are great and priced at $9.99:

Face creams

I have been using Kiehl’s facial creams for forever. I’ve tried so many and I have combo/dry skin in the summer and these creams keep my skin super hydrated without leaving it oily.

The SPF 30 cream- I use this cream under my makeup for days I don’t necessarily plan on going in the sun but need some SPF. A reminder on how important it is to use a daily SPF on your skin especially when you started adding in vitamin C and serums into your routine as it makes you more susceptible to the sun. This is a great lotion + SPF in one.

Ultra facial cream- This is my everyday lotion that I use (when layering with an SPF). I use it day and night and it keeps my skin hydrated, doesn’t leave me oily and looks nice under makeup. If you need something super hydrating as we head into warmer months, I highly recommend this one.

My Sephora Wish list

Stocking up on beauty products during the Sephora is always a good idea. High-quality beauty products can get expensive so I like to take advantage and get extra of my favorite products and also try out new products when they are on sale. Here’s what I have on my list to purchase this Spring!
