International Women’s Day

Happy International Women’s Day! I feel like today is such an inspiring day for women across the globe. It’s a great time to reflect on the many achievements and struggles women have faced throughout history. We are mothers, sisters, daughters, wives, workers, nurses, leaders, and so much more. Together, women empower other women, and this is a message I want my girls to understand from a young age.

I am so happy we live in a world where gender stereotypes are no longer as prominent and that we are raising our kids to be WHOEVER they want to be. The future is in our children’s hands and us as parents need to shape our kids to be kind, caring and loving individuals. The world needs more of that right now.

The beautiful thing about this community of mama bloggers is that so many women are empowering each other. The support, feedback and guidance I have received from others in the community is amazing. Uniting in motherhood is so important and that’s exactly what is being done. If women all over the world band together to support and love each other, we can create a better place. A place with less hate, less violence and a lot more love.

Today, I encourage you to look at everything you’ve accomplished in your life, after all you are at the center of the village. Let’s raise our children to appreciate everything women do (and have done) and encourage our girls to never expect anything but the best.  After all, the world is our oyster.
