Apple Cider Moscow Mule- Tastes Just like Fall

One of my favorite things about fall is being able to add apple flavor to pretty much anything. The other night I had crisp apples and dipped them in fondue and decided I wanted to try out a cocktail with all of the apples I had laying around.

While I am mostly a tequila type of girl, it occurred to me to add an apple twist to my favorite vodka cocktail- Moscow mules. After picking up the spider apple cider juice at Trader Joe’s, I knew it would make for the perfect combo for a delicious fall Moscow mule.

The best part about this recipe is that it only takes 5 ingredients. Most of the stuff I already had at my house and all I needed to purchase was the ginger beer.

Here’s what you’ll need
  • Vodka (I prefer Tito’s)
  • Ginger Beer
  • Apple Cider (the Trader Joe’s one is the best in my opinion)
  • Cinnamon & Cinnamon sticks
  • Apples
  • Top with ice

The secret to this delicious apple cider Moscow mule is the cinnamon. Whatever you do- do not forget the cinnamon!

Step 1

Fill your cup with plenty of ice. I like my drinks to be nice and cold and can not drink a Moscow mule without my copper mug so this is a must for me.

Step 2

Add 1 shot of vodka (or more) to your glass and give it a little stir so the ice starts to break up a bit.

Step 3

Fill your glass with ginger beer until it’s about half full. If you want the apple to be a bit on the lighter side, you can add a bit more than half at this part.

Step 4

Fill the remainder of your mug with spided apple cider. Trust me, pick up the Trader Joe’s one and you will not regret it. Such a good flavor and tastes so good with this cocktail recipe.

Step 5

Top your drink with sliced apples. Apples are in season right now so they add so much flavor to anything

Step 6

Top your drink with a dash of cinnamon and use a cinnamon stick to stir your drink. You can mix multiple cocktails up with the same cinnamon stick since they have a strong flavor or just leave it in as a way to mix up your drink as you go (that’s what I did.)

That’s it- time to enjoy!

So easy and such a refreshing fall cocktail. This would make for the perfect Thanksgiving or Christmas cocktail to serve up at your next holiday party too. If you’re looking for a tasty casserole dish to pair with your cocktails, here’s one of my go-to’s when it comes to hosting a dinner party.
