No stress dinner idea with Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs

Who can use a break from cooking right about now?! Prepping and cooking three meals a day for kids is exhausting. Not only does someone always seem to have a complaint about what I’m making but somehow the girls also require approximately 500 snacks a day to just hold them through between meals.

Did I mention that my kids are also extremely picky? I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve made something that everyone agreed was good. Not going to lie, this leaves me stressed out in the kitchen half the time and then disappointed when they don’t want to touch their dinner! That’s real mom life for ya.. I am always looking for a quick hack, especially when it comes to meal time. When I was doing my routine grocery shopping at Walmart, I saw they had Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs hot and ready right by the cash register (located where the rotisserie chickens are). Hot dogs are the one thing that the girls can always agree on and I decided to pick some up because hello they are ready to serve and it requires NO effort on my part.

Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs reminds me of going to the baseball field as a kid. Such a nostalgic memory for me and when I saw that they were ready to serve at Walmart I ditched my grocery list immediately.  Walmart literally has us covered with the perfect no stress dinner– Nathan’s Famous Hot and Ready hot dogs (literally unwrap and eat), grab some chips, juices/waters, and call it a day! We packed our Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs up and brought them with us to the park. I always keep a mat in my car for these spur of the moment park trips and it was just what we needed.  The girls were able to run around, I caught up on e-mails on my phone and it was all without a care in the world. Plus we don’t have much time left before we change our clocks so I want to soak in all the outdoor time we can get.

It’s so easy to get stuck in a routine once school starts but we can all use a change up in our schedule. Take my advice- do not stress over dinner time.  It’s good to give yourself a break sometimes. A quick trip to Walmart for some ready-made hot dogs will save you so much time in the kitchen and trust me, your kids will NOT be disappointed.  Heres an Ibotta offer to save money! https://bit.ly/2FY9E4W
