Family Updates + Our Wellness Routine

This is a sponsored conversation written by me for compensation by Bayer. The opinions and text are all mine.

Danny and I have been going back and forth about sending Nati to preschool. Ari started preschool at around three and a half and while Nati is a whole year younger, I think she could really benefit from starting school young and we are looking into having her start in the early Spring which is going to mean a major transition on all of us!

Ari has always been so independent– she could always keep herself entertained, started to enjoy “schoolwork” at a young age, and did a pretty good job at listening to directions. On the other hand, Nati is so attached to me and can barely stand having me leave her sight. Sending her to preschool just a couple of hours a week will hopefully help her become more independent, as well as socialize with the other kids, plus give me a break.

With the school year in full swing, I’ve been extra cautious in ensuring we all take care of ourselves on a daily basis. Simple things like going to bed 15 minutes earlier and making sure everyone eats well and takes their multivitamin every day to get more of those essential nutrients.

I’ve been taking Bayer’s One A DayÒ Women’s vitamins for quite some time now and Danny has been taking the One A DayÒ Men’s. We leave them out on the counter near our breakfast bar as a reminder to take one every morning.

Now that the girls are on a morning routine with us, I’ve started giving them the FlintstonesÔ Complete Gummies. My husband and I both grew up on the Flintstones vitamins as kids so it’s so fun to be purchasing them again for the girls.

I feel like I am always stressing over nutrition– did my kids eat enough vegetables at dinner? Am I giving them too much sugar? It can all be a lot to take in! Nutrition can seem overwhelming and even if you are eating right, our bodies still may need more key nutrients such as Vitamins A, C, D & E– that’s where One A Day and Flintstones can help fill this gap!

Every Sunday I order my groceries at Walmart Online Grocery Pickup.  It’s been a major life saver and I’ve been using it for months now– seriously, I have been raving about it to all my friends. I add in all my healthy groceries to my cart at home so I can easily look in my pantry and fridge to see what we need. It also helps to not roam around the aisles and accidently end up in the chips section– I know I am not the only one here.

While I rotate what I purchase for lunch/dinners every week, I always make sure to stock up on fruits, veggies and make sure we all have enough of our Bayer multivitamins for the week to easily help fill in key nutritional gaps.

The girls are really picky when it comes to veggies, so we pretty much purchase the same things every week: zucchini, carrots, corn, and spinach for green smoothies (another mom hack, trust me on this).  I also let them scroll through the fruits and vegetables section when I am online shopping and let them pick whatever catches their eye– it’s a great way to get your kids involved in their health and nutrition without the fuss!
