Educating yourself on equity and unity

The long-standing issues of systematic racism and police brutality seem to be more prevalent in today’s society than ever before. Fighting for unity and equality has never been more important for our country.

I speak to the girls every single day about the importance of being kind and fair to everyone and have explained to Ari the issues going in our country. At 6, it is not easy for her to understand the judging and hatred against one’s skin color but getting these conversations started in the household early is key to eliminating racism in future generations.

There are an abundance of resources available that can help anyone understand the problems so many Americans are standing up against.
