Dolls that teach kids about diversity

These past few months the girls have been vvvery into their OG Dolls. The girls each got to pick a doll out when we moved in February and they’ve grown so attached to their dolls- pulling out new outfits for them everyday and role playing with so many fun toys and accessories.

When I first started looking at OG Dolls, I loved seeing the diversity between all of the dolls. Dolls are a perfect way to teach your kids all about diversity and differences. Since talking to your young kids about racism can seem like a heavy topic, incorporating into play is the perfect way to teach kids about equality. Your child’s doll may have a different skin color, hair texture or facial features, but she’s beautiful and important just like your child. I always have opted for purchasing the girls dolls that don’t look like them to teach them about differences.

Another reason I love OG dolls is that they come with A TON of really really cool accessories so your kids can spend hours playing with their dolls.

The ice cream truck comes fully loaded with 150++ pieces of ice cream, donuts, and treats that the girls absolutely love. They place with their ice cream truck every single day and it’s so fun watching them get creative with their offerings.

Another favorite of theirs is the bowling alley. Yes a REAL bowling alley that works. Your child can put bowling shows on their doll, knock down the pins and score points. It’s interactive with lights and sounds and such a fun accessory.

Some of our other favorite accessories are the pink jeep and the vet hospital (next on the girls’ wish list).

The girls are 3 and 6 and the perfect age to play with these dolls. I can see them playing with them for the coming years as the play time possibilities are endless.
