Appetizer Wreath for the Holidays

I can NOT believe that we are thinking about the holidays already. I swear I blinked and now it’s almost November, which means Thanksgiving is literally right around the corner, and before we know it, it’s going to be Christmas. While I’m over here and denial that the year is almost coming to an end, I am also already thinking about all of my favorite holiday foods/treats that I can make again.

One of my favorite recipes to make when we gather around the holidays is an appetizer wreath. They are so easy to make and they look so festive!

This is what you will need

  • 2 packs for Pillsbury crescent rolls
  • Spicy hot links or any sausages/hot dogs
  • BBQ sauce (or your choice)
  • Rosemary
  • Parsley
  • Parmasean

Here’s how to make it:

  1. Start out by unrolling the crescent rolls and slicing each square into a triangle. You can either cut in half, or in fours, depending how big your sausages are.
  2. Next you are going to lay out each cut crescent roll and roll up your hot dogs. Press the ends together to make sure it doesn’t open up while baking.
  3. Grab a pizza pan or any large circle baking sheet and place your pigs in a blanket in a circle. Make sure each one is slightly touching ( it will expand a bit when it bakes).
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes (check your crescent packaging). I usually just monitor until it looks ready (oops).
  5. While its baking, get a large circle plate and place a small bowl in the center. The bowl in the center is where you will place your dip. Add the rosemary garnish right outside your dip bowl to add a festive element to your appetizer.
  6. Once your wreath is full baked, let it cool and gently transfer over to your large plate. I’m usually able to transfer it over carefully without it breaking but if it breaks, it’s no big deal you can just have them touching- anyway it’s going to be enjoyed soon!
  7. Add parsley and/or parmesan for garnish and serve!

That’s it! There’s literally nothing to it! It’s one of my favorite appetizers to make and always such a crowd pleaser.

Have extra sausage laying around after you made your wreath? Why don’t you try mini skewers? I paired my spicy sausage with some pineapple as mini skewers and they were So good!
