I know how it goes…you have some extra cash laying around and you run out to buy your kids some cute clothes. I know I’m not the only who does this. A few months ago I wrote a post on my Spring Capsule wardrobe. It was so refreshing going through my closet and getting rid of all of the things I never wear. I also sorted out all of my fall and winter clothes and put them away so I had a clear focus on my current wardrobe. It’s been a lot of repeats and a lot of mix and matching with styles I absolutely love.
While a lot of the stuff I purchased back in spring (shop my spring wardrobe here) will definitely be carried over for summer, I decided to add a few dresses and short sleeve blouses to my closet. I’ve been loving the color red and I’m still obsessing over stripes, so you’ll see a lot of that linked below.
Since I’m super white, I love wearing maxi dresses but I recently discovered a tanning lotion that has given me just a tad of color so I am buying alll of the swing dresses now. It’s not a self-tanner so it doesn’t leave any residue behind and it goes on smooth. I’ve been ding this for the past two weeks and I’ve noticed a subtle color on my skin, which was just what I needed. I included the process below for you guys!
How I maintain my “fake” tan
- Exfoliate my body once a week with L’Occitane almond scrub
- Apply Jergens wet skin moisturizer while still in the shower (water off)
- Apply Jergens Natural Glow moisturizer once I’m out of the shower and dry (also adds a bit of color)
- Moisturize my skin every morning and night with L’Occitane Almond Milk Concentrate to keep my skin hydrated. This stuff is seriously AMAZING, I couldn’t recommend a better product to keep your skin hyrdated during the summer months.
