How to save Money at Disneyland

We go to Disneyland pretty often so it can get expensive really quick. While there’s time that we go and splurge with character dining, treats and more, we also like to save money any chance we get. I’ve rounded up some of the best ways for saving money on your next trip to Disneyland, so you can spend more time having fun than worrying about money!

Stay at the Howard Johnson Anaheim

This has been our go-to hotel for the past year and have stayed multiple times. The prices at the Disney hotels are sky high these days and the HoJo Anaheim is the same walking distance as the original hotel! They also have a full waterpark on property that you can use at no extra cost! It’s perfect for taking a break from the heat.

The Howard Johnson even provided me with a 20% off rate to share with you! Follow this link and use code LNAP if you are annual passholder and code LNLR if you are just vising! You’ll also want to call them to see if they have any special ticket offers for the park (they usually do).

Visit during an “off season”

Certain times of the year are relatively cheaper. They tend to be before summer and after Christmas– you’ll find cheaper prices and less people in the park. If you’re able to go during the week, you’ll see even lighter crowds and will save money all-around!

Pack your own snacks and drinks

While I do like to splurge on my favorite/seasonal snacks (who can resist the popcorn?!), I always come prepared with snacks on hand too. The last thing I want to do is buy an overpriced water or juice box. I also like to bring in some crackers and fruit for some healthy snacks in between meals.

Skip the photo pass

I never purchase the photo passes. Instead take your own photos and you can follow this guide to find all the best place to take photos when you’re in the park.

Most importantly, have fun! Don’t stress over the little things and make the most out of your trip!
